Cofounded in 1999, Dream a Dream is deeply invested in mainstreaming Life Skills within education ecosystems and has helped over a million children overcome adversity in the last two decades.
At the centre of our approach is the child and the ecosystem around the child. Through our direct intervention with 10,000 young people a year, we have demonstrated the importance of life skills and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) on young people growing up in adversity. We have impacted over 35,000 educators, developing their abilities to be caring and empathetic adults, a key lever in this approach. Scaling our approach to work with 1.5 million children through 5 state partnerships has helped shift the narrative from an academic focused education model to a personalised, contextualised and localised education transformational model designed to ensure equity, dignity and inclusion of every child and invested in helping every child thrive.
Dream a Dream actively participates in the both national forums and international forums including the Thrive Collaborative, Life Skills Collaborative, Happiness Curriculum in Delhi and globally through active participation in research studies with Brookings Institution, Harvard, WISE, Innovation Unit, GELP, OECD Future of Education 2030 Project and through global initiatives such as The Weaving Lab, Karanga – A Global Alliance on Life Skills and SEL, HundrED.org, Lego Foundation, Teach for All, Common Goal amongst others.
